Şennur Ergin

Şennur Ergin was born in Samsun in 2000 and completed her education there until high school. She later graduated from Sinop University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She completed her undergraduate studies as the top student of her department and second in her faculty, receiving high honors and multiple achievement certificates. As part of her social responsibility projects, she conducted fieldwork at TSD (Turkish Disabled Association) Sinop Branch and the Sinop Nursing Home, earning the title of sociologist. She has been providing Family Counseling services for a long time. She has a strong communication style, works with a solution-focused approach, and is forward-thinking. She continuously strives to improve herself within the framework of past and present conditions and maintains an open-minded character. Legally diligent and committed to researching accurate information, she holds a realistic and objective professional identity. She continues her work in couples and family counseling by engaging in academic studies, receiving the required therapeutic training, and accepting clients both in the field and online. She is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development at Istanbul University. Her professional development began in 2019 with a 20-hour Family Coaching Training offered by Sinop University’s Continuing Education and Research Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services. She later completed an internationally approved Family Counseling Training through Kariyer Online Education Institution. She officially earned the Family Counselor title outlined by the Ministry of Family and Social Services through Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, completing supervision-supported training and presenting her own case study, along with 104 case examinations. She enhanced and updated her skills by completing Short-Term Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Sexual Therapy practitioner trainings at Bursa Mudanya University, all within the framework of family counseling approaches. She continues to expand her expertise through various professional development programs. Additionally, she completed her undergraduate thesis titled “Self-Presentation of Disabled Individuals, Couples, and Families in Digital Media,” a 75-page research project consisting of interviews, visual materials, and analyses conducted in digital spaces. The thesis was presented to her advisor and successfully approved as a field study. She has been providing Family Counseling services since 2023.
