Elmas Zeynep Bamyacı

Elmas is an undergraduate psychology student at Istanbul University with a strong interest in the intersections between psychology, neuroscience, and art. She has served as the founding editor-in-chief of an interdisciplinary psychology journal, where she has written articles exploring the emotional, symbolic, and cognitive dimensions of film narratives. During her clinical internship, she contributed to session preparations and observed psychological assessment processes, which deepened her awareness of professional ethics and clinical responsibilities. In line with her academic orientation, Elmas is particularly interested in fields such as neuropsychology, sleep and dream processes, memory functioning, neurodegenerative diseases, and mood disorders. She aims to conduct advanced research in these areas throughout her career. Elmas believes in the importance of making academic knowledge accessible to a wider audience and views writing as a means to present the theoretical and experimental aspects of psychology in a way that is both comprehensible and intellectually enriching.
